Caveat: I consider the two giro gloves as lightweight protective gloves when driving with bicycle, eWheel, skateboard etc.
a) Design and comfort:
The Xen is the lighter of the two gloves. The largest portion of the glove is a single layer. He isolated little, making it ideal as a summer glove.
The Remdey is in many areas two layers (different materials). He isolated stronger than the Xen, but is likely to be more useful in the summer.
b) Fit:
The Xen can be adjusted by a Velcro wrist closure. Standard hands assuming it locates.
The Remedy has the advantage, that the glove can be adjusted not only at the wrist, but also laterally across the palm. Thus it can be adapted relatively well, for example if one but M needed for the finger length size L, for hand and finger strength. A small drawback here is that, are open depending on the adjustment, parts of the surface fastener then.
c) Protection:
Both models are equipped with protectors or pads on the fingers, on the back of the hand, the side of the palm, wrist and inside the side of the palm. Although the Xen in some places offers a slightly better protection than the Remedy, the Remedy is this total, however, clearly superior. In particular, the crash pads on the fingers and the back of the hand are clearly superior to the rubber protectors or the padding of Xen. For this weight class, who wants to go on the bike already wearing thick motorcycle gloves, I think that the protective effect of the Remedy for good, the Xen satisfactory.
d) processing
Well ... (this applies to both models), for example, sit the protectors on the phalanxes partially laterally rather than centrally. Comparing the left with the right glove will notice that some parts of the glove is not exactly the same cut or positioned differently or are rotated. The seams are partly quite close to the edge of the fabric. Everything stops still at a manageable level, but convince me does not.
e) Durability
The Xen has on the inner palm partially double seams. At Remedy most seams are sutures, positively enough, the material is partly, as already mentioned, two layers. The Velcro wrist, remains, depending on the setting, also depend on regular substance what this damaged unnecessarily. Some fingertips fine threads are woven (possibly in addition to the touch screen coating.), They are directly shredded after I touched the hook part of the hook and loop fastener - but also a fingertip has, though not as extreme, reacts to the Velcro part. Whether the Xen is much better in this respect, I can not say - but do not believe it. In connection with the sometimes very tight fitting seams, I am from a longer shelf life, and the strength of a fall is not convincing - can, because I got the gloves only just, however, say anything definite at the moment.
