Even my Mac Mini like him

The drive of my Mac Mini is no longer reliable and I've searched the forums for a low-cost and good alternative.
Behold: though the LITEON is only advertised for Windows, my Mac Mini also likes him.
Even without the installation CD burner was immediately recognized.
Insert music CD, iTunes opens and there you go, as always.
Photo Insert CD, iPhoto opens and there you go, as always.
DVD insert, the player will open and you must enter a country code at the first time. 5 Change of country codes are allowed, then the fifth remains forever (unless you find a way around that.).
Also burning works perfectly.
Whether is on the installation CD, a detailed instruction manual, I can not say, because the Mac they logically can not read. The small leaflet enough but fine.
The supplied cable is 20 cm long. According supplement other USB cables can be used, which should not be longer than 40 cm.

Super I find the hinged lid
No CD or DVD that needs to be herausgefummelt again because the drive does not eject it.
Practically, the USB port that forwards both the data and the power supply takes over.
Whether on a notebook also works so well I can not judge.

The running noise is louder than with my built-in burner Mac Mini.
The base has four small rubber "feet" that are not safe on smooth surfaces prevent migration of the small device. Especially at start-up, he wandered like to smooth over the table.
This can, however, prevent any problems when choosing a less smooth lower surface (eg back of a mousepad).

Conclusion:
For the price a great device. Extremely easy and comfortable to use. Super connected quickly.
Slightly louder than a built version.
And quite compatible with the Mac mini, and probably several other Macs too !!!
