This cable is compared to a 0.5m extension I've bought (also from Amazon, but other manufacturers), much more flexible! While not as flexible as the original cable my external 2.5 "HDD but I doubt that this is 3-fold shielding. In addition, the micro-USB plug is almost perfect, better than the original cable!
The transfer rates I can not say much because I do not have full USB 3 controller, but 130 MB / s I therefore managed so very satisfying for me.

This cable is absolutely worth the money!
