Excellent given the zoom range

Relatively compact and lightweight.
The zoom is a little firm, but there is no creeping: the zoom is not alone when it deploys is directed downward, unlike a lot of competing models.
The autofocus is very fast and silent.
The focus ring rotates during the search of the point, but not the front lens, allowing the use of a lens hood corolla, supplied with the lens.

The stabilizer is very effective and virtually inaudible.

The close focus to 250mm (about 40cm) is very produces good quality pictures.

Very little distortion: slightly visible at 18mm, it is easily corrected with Photoshop or with ShiftN.
Many vignetting, it is still visible at 250mm at f / 8 ... fortunately, again it is easily corrected by software.

Finally, dive, which is remarkable at all focal lengths. This is the strong point of this, as good here that my 15-85mm on my Canon 60D!

To my knowledge, a good extreme transstandard, better than the Nikon and Tamron PZD 18-200VR I used too.
