This is actually about the Model 04G-P4-2983-KR, so really the Superclocked model with ACX suggests 2.0 coolers like the picture.
I think whoever is interested in a graphics card in this price range have already studied Ettlich reviews and already know the hard technical facts, so here is a short review.
The map is surprisingly quiet as long as you simply leaves the fan on automatic, only under load turn on so, but turn relatively slowly and are virtually inaudible in my PC.
The lettering on the map lights up white, the SC lettering illuminated in yellow.
I registered the card after receiving at EVGA and immediately get 3 extra years warranty, so the card will total 5-year warranty from the manufacturer. This offer is limited in time, with a card that I had before, the extended warranty cost 12, this card is now almost 4 years old and still runs.
A big issue for many graphics cards is the so-called Spuhlenfiepen what virtually does not occur with my GTX 980 SC. The frame rates must be really far to get to the buzzing in 3-digit area around the map.
My GTX 980 SC comes with the boost clock over 1400 brand to 1417Mhz, turning the fan with below 500 revolutions.
Since the card without backplate comes I ordered directly at a EVGA, characterized the GPU remains again a little cooler.
From my side, the card gets a strong buy recommendation.
