Customer Review

Arch Enemy have never been a band that I really have a lot of attention. Well, I've already found great the band around for albums like "Rise of the Tyrant" or "Wages of Sin". So I never really raved but for the most well-known melodic death band with a woman as Growler. What can I say? The new Arch Enemy is what I have (despite, or perhaps because of singers exchange) expected: namely, simple good melodic death metal.

I personally found Gossow already appealing as a singer. But at a certain singer Fan Group, I am not. Whether one looks at the first few days, as was no woman at the microphone, then Angela, or now Alissa, enough power is still there. So in order for me is the fear "another voice - quality waste" ever dispelled.

Musically expects that, on what one thinks now times in the arch-enemies - sometimes brutal, sometimes stomping, sometimes melanchonisch, dreamy and every now and then. The first song after the orchestral intro belongs definitely to the former brand: Right at the beginning is a fat battle cry in the form of growls, backed by blasts, released. A challenge to all those who think that it softer approaching with another singer.

Songs that make shock of course only a small proportion of the album, we have indeed no lout band in front of us. In fact, you can often come up with great hooks. Refreshingly, the keyboards and occasionally used classical elements that convince no less than the riffs of Amott. It is also the break pieces do quite well that are well suitable packed as a buffer between the "real" songs.

A (. M after M.) apt analogy has an acquaintance with whom I exchanged a few words on the disc, hit: He found that the band like Kreator, just a little harder, sounds. Sure, this is a melodic thrash, the other Death - but the sense of good melodies and the pressure behind the whole, I can go along with that already in about.

Given that I was in the first time, since I had bought this album, am always woke up with hooks from that morning, it must have got something encouraging have box. That really goes to me only a few albums in the form of that. For me one of the highlights of the 2014th
