I walk about 60km a week and have to say that the total distance, the pulse and the average speed are exactly!
The device has in my opinion three vulnerabilities:
1) The current speed while running never true, but the right Durchschnittsgechwindigkeit end up displayed.
2) The level meters are determined not by barometer, but on GPS, which is also often inaccurate.
3) You have to be looking for the satellite before running the Forerunner 1-2 minutes outdoors.
However, the benefits outweigh all!
So it is for example possible to couple a cadence sensor with the Forerunner 305 and thus to make it a fully-fledged device for cycling.
Here, also a spoke magnet for accurate speed measurement is included.
Using the supplied software you can monitor every inch of its range and read the exact pulse.
Although the altitude and the speed often not agree to setting usually anyway to what pitch is and may possibly set markers and can thus display the average speed for the slope.
Compared to other devices of the Forerunner is much cheaper and has more features.
For example, a Polar RS 800 means Footpod, to personalize it's also the Forerunner, indeed display the current speed and altitude accurately, but it will not be used as a full bike computer.
The watches, which can be used as a cycle computer (cadence, etc.) have it again usually no GPS (or are very expensive).
In addition, a Footpod must also be adjusted.
I know also like the distance traveled while skating or snowboarding and values them off as well, which to my knowledge is only possible by means of GPS.
A nice plus is also the import into Google Earth.
I hope that the review not too much sounds like a promotional text and I realize that other manufacturers also have good watches.
I want here really just to point out that at this price rarely so much good hardware is offered.
