Since I get right again goosebumps when I think of some passages of the album "Rudeboy". Rap for the heart. With a force and power in the voice that gets under your skin ...
What the hell was Olson (Rough) ridden? Who has given him this brainwashing?
One of the best rappers in Germany will become a victim of the mainstream ... Unfortunately, I think that this album will appeal to very few people ... less than back then, unfortunately, "Rudeboy" and the magnificent EP "40213" did.
With "Hold me tight" Olson had then delivered one of the best, saddest and best songs in the German music industry. That was a Gefühsechte Rapballade first class. Please listen if someone has not done !!!
I have never been disappointed by a conversion so. Olson was my hero, his songs I could hear just always. Moments where I hang out with my best mates and all just celebrate Olson "Rough", remembered. Texts spoke the one from the soul. "This moment" will never be forgotten. Thanks for that !!!
Course in Rapgeschäft conversion that simply must happen or be built up carefully but gekrönnt high success are / were, see Casper, Chakuza, RAF etc. 3.0 Chakuza considered a good example. He made it out then straigtem and aggressive rap to create a beautiful and backed by great melodies Chanting, who knows a really convincing.
This really annoying Yeah permanently what Olson as are of themselves, the Autotune passages ... just goes not !!!
Cro makes the better to Lengenfeld. I hope nevertheless that this did not serve as a model.
Because that really needs Olson not now. But the Drops is geluscht, the album is out and it's just plain weak.
Was this change necessary? I do not think so
No Love Records had the old Olson picked up and turned him into a second Torche, Curse or specialty.
Especially in these times. Where Poprap (Cro, Casper, Marteria that Orsons) and especially Straßenrap (The Azzlacks, Sido, Vega, Kollegah, etc.) go down well with the measurements.
But with this mixture Olson has clearly failed.
Musically, the disappointment of the year ... but no matter.
Next week, comes Chakuzas album.
