This book is great and plunges the reader ds ramshackle world of these little known films "hicksploitation" or degenerated hillbillies, cannibal inbred white-trash bayous and other "toothless" southerners swarm between horror / gore and the world of books of Harry Crews, Donald Ray Pollock, etc .. Very documented, it thoroughly analyzes all that is involved in identity / special color of these movies, laculture "southern gothic" in general, the music, literature, culture that nourish them is exciting and pleasurable. Otherwise I would add as against the price is certainly totally indecent. I know this is a beautiful book, as they say, but as another reviewer I find it really abused prices, prices would have been more like 30 ns have here just because a book on "white-trash" no "white-trash" (even French) could not afford to buy!
