Experiences at 1DsMkIII

I use the 24-70L at a 1DsMkIII - certainly not one of the most good-natured snapping for lenses and photograph mainly people and Citiyscapes, mostly in AL. The only anticipated to evaluate my opinion a little. The scope of supply is gratifying completely (especially if you know the crazy prices of Gelis Canon) - lens cap Geli and lens case.
The lens case is not really worth the name - but I personally have the lenses either in a camera bag, in X-Wraps easily packed into a backpack or camera dangling from his shoulder. For the GeLi is as enormous as effective - it is flower shape and is fastened by bayonet. By lens design, the front lens is lowest in telephoto position in the GeLi making them very effective.

Now for the more interesting things: If you look on the net for the lens If the relatively high proportion of messages from for fine adjustment, send it to Canon and so on. I also had the lens easily fine-tune - but then it fit. The AF is extremely fast and reliable. The picture quality is excellent in my eyes for a push - for my application I have festgstellt no defects. However, I submit that my distortion, a little vignetting and softness is not so much interfere on the edge of - but as I said, there was nothing would have jumped in my face (as opposed to the EF 50 / 1.4 has vignetiert more at my camera as I had ever noticed otherwise, and even too much for me was ...). The constant f 2.8, it is quite bright - relative with me why because my other lenses all 1.2 and below have.
The rings run very smoothly and the operation goes well out of hand. By a sealing ring on the bayonet and internal seals, the 24-70L Weatherproof to the appropriate Bodies is (ones and possibly the series 7D to be precise). The lens weighs about 1 kg - which is not as the problem for me because a) my other most used lenses every 1 kg (85L, EF50 / 1.0L) and b) the body is not so easy. However, as I generally with the same severe but shorter FB working, I personally find the balance not so pleasant - the falls even more from when you zoom in WW position as the lens is a very front-heavy coati.

In sum: a excellentes lens which is rightly the workhorse of many professional photographers. Even though I rarely take pictures for various reasons with zoom lenses, I can highly recommend it!
