Make and eat good home fries rather than the restaurant (or fast food), yes of course ... but I did not want either of my complicate the matter; so far I preferred buy frozen fries ready to bake for example! So I first looked at everything that was on fryer. Obviously, I quickly spotted the Actifry but considering the price compared to other fryers, I had a little left out. The months passed, from time to time I returned to see ... to see. Prices rose slightly (for quality fryers) but that of the Actifry fell instead, so I got interested again. Cautiously, I first considered the comments online (thank you for the changeover to these) and identified the true +: users confirmed that the fries are really (and less fat) and that can be done to other things with the device; ok but qqs pbs: noise, no stopping after cooking, fried can get out of the tank itself, limited capacity as soon as we + three persons ... and finally it is long! so I still missed qqs time. When Family Actifry is out, I inquired on + compared to the other (AH8000 1kg) and there I was convinced objectively technically (a ring prevents chips to switch off vessel, a timer that stops the unit after cooking, instead of 1.5 kg 1kg ... Okay, but the price! ... When I learned that you could also make nuggets, grilled prawns, etc caramelized fruit ., investment qd seemed interesting. I took advantage of an opportunity to less than 200 for a day I decide and order. Ok Delivery (personally never had a pb with Amazon). Result: Even better than I thought ...; after a first test means (I found them too soft fries), the second was OK and getting better. Just this extra device! First, I honestly do not find loud noise (perhaps he has been improved on this model?), Nothing unpleasant anyway. Cooking time (45min) is finally passed quickly enough because you can do anything quietly during this time; especially as this is the maximum time (to 1.5kg of fries) for 2 persons (700-750g) is approx. 30min (and even less for 1 person). Quality chips: watch out! It is the quality of the potato that is causing prospective pbs (my first try, I did it with what I had, unknown variety but not the right thing). With the MonaLisa, my second test, it was better, the fries were more like colored with Sirco variety; the must is the Bintje variety (but the fries are pale yellow): impeccable! crispy to perfection, I tell you ... extra careful qd even use the recent potato or do not hang around for weeks in the fridge or elsewhere, it can soften the fries again. Finally, the book & recipes opportunities offered with the said apparatus all potato varieties, preparation of French fries, choice of oils (one uses so little ... but it can affect the taste it seems) spices (I tried with some raz el anout, super but just to enhance, not overwhelm attention of the taste of fried). the recipes are varied and numerous (although for casseroles, I think to continue with my saber). But a product to brown on all sides (sausages, meat, shrimp, prawns, of course nuggets, fruit in pieces, vegetables ...), and virtually no oil, there is extra. An investment that seems sensible, useful and for years in my opinion because the device looks solid to me (in + his messy elements are dishwasher safe).
