Like all MANKELL books I read, this one takes us into a sordid investigation difficult. A suicide by fire of a young girl and 3 murders very "gore"; Kurt will try really hard to find the culprit will still leaving some feathers as the growing violence in Sweden disturbs him and often prevents sleep. The fact that we know the name of the guilty from the beginning of the book does not diminish the mystery of the investigation. The reader as Wallander are upset at the end of the book, shocked by this violence, this misfortune, this misery. I loved this book and I think I got to atachée KURT Wallander.
