The beautiful Amelie Beauregard has not only a dark secret, it is also observed every night by a werewolf. While the moon waxes, the fates of several people and creatures of the darkness are irrevocably linked. And soon the first calls evil lives ....

From time to time I hear John Sinclair (Edition 2000), a couple of old children's tapes and I know the Pink-Green-horror series. However, I do not count myself among the true connoisseurs radio play. Dreamland horror I had probably heard nothing if not Evelyn Boyd had written a series. I have read three of her books and was very impressed. Excited I have this CD worried and was surprised.

So the speaker performances were seen as something very positive! I had expected after reading some reviews with bad actors and amateurs. Instead came off right with the intro mood. With a wonderful narrator who can convince genuine. And then it went on pleasing. Amelie, the wolf, the policeman ... they all have their roles embodied really good. Evelyn Boyd has also done well. It represents the waitress Holly - very credibly and with a fresh, girlish voice. Only in those moments when she played the Fangirl, you can tell by her that she does not feel very comfortable in this role.

The music has also surprised me positively. A moody mix that fits well pronounced at the scene! And the retro music has made a lot of fun! Because I immediately thought of my old tapes.

The story itself has perhaps surprised me the most. Evelyn Boyd writes in her books a good mix of humor, melancholy, tension and horror. She has done well here. However, their writing sounds different: hardener, male and older. If I had not known that this radio play is the work of a woman, I would have bet on a writing team from a woman and a male Mitfünfziger. Some scenes are quite funny and even romantic, but also the very hard scenes are opposite set. And at the exact point I have to hesitate at the Star award. For my personal taste it was the end of history to hard. There is no splatter scenes and no trash monster, but there is violence, terror and cruelty. For example, a highly oppressive torture scene is not dimmed. I was thinking of giving it be penalized. But that would be unfair. Finally, it is not a cheerful children's storyteller, but the consequence of a horror series for adults. The horror has been successful. In this respect, Evelyn Boyd did everything right - and yet proven to that it can not only write for girls.

Overall, this is - in my opinion - an entertaining radio play with great music, good speakers and a well-told story. Those looking trashy Monster Action, is served here wrong. Anyone hoping to romantic mystery, is perhaps also disappointed. But the story is then but in parts too hard. This episode Who relaxes films like can watch "blindness" in the cinema and at the same time stands on horror audio plays with retro feel, which should not be missed.
