The few traces of intrusive, obtrusive techno keyboard (sound) s swallowing (almost) indemnify and courteously, as they form the slightest part of the overall sound of Dirty Loops.
(But that's perhaps turn teenagers and chart consumers who do not deal with radio or jazz, to expand its range and taste. Certainly not very unclever.)
In Jazzpop / jazz-rock projects with vocals this is often sung generally without attitude and eggs (often flows tough pseudo-melancholic and desolate the boring, supercooled and sweetish sauce paralyzed and powerless in front of him) and the compositions seem a vehicle for ( not quite as boring instrumental) to be improvisations.
The interesting and amazing in this band: the pop song (structures) gain considerably in stature as they inflate the musical substance.
The Dirty Loops singer has a huge vocal range and has its greatest moments in ballads, but he sings very emotionally charged in the uptempo numbers and has the technology and the energy of Soul singers.
His timbre is strongly reminiscent of Stevie Wonder's voice, the known as fans of Dirty Loops alongside heavyweights such as Steve Lukather and Quincy Jones.
The singer also plays the keyboards: Keyboard and these walls there are mainly, the (occasional techno) bring both the pop, and jazz influence into the band.
The music is pumping, grooving and marched forward and the numerous, often very witty virtuoso ultra fill-ins and clever arrangements ensure that a swing down the jaw in regularity (especially with the faster ones).
The virtuosity of the Dirty Loops is not devoid of meaning faster-higher-further, it is integrated into the songs and brings in the right places, the right things: not only technically superior superior sovereignty, also an incredible for such a young band maturity.
Linking this stylistic mix with virtuosity expected at the level of the world (almost?) Be unprecedented!
Most amazing bassist, which not only lined feat to feat and the hell out of your fingers slappt but besides stunning Grooves very tasteful and also dramatically sent plays.
Nevertheless, does not that sound through constructed and effort but shaken as just spontaneously from his sleeve.
These are not superficial tricks, but there'sa intelligence, efficiency and musicality behind.
The drummer also plays most technically outstanding and quite aggressive forward and has more of a rock as a jazz attitude (or Approach :-) if you ever want to divide musicians so flat).
Just as well he can withdraw fully and play very sparingly, if it requires the song.
Hörempfehlungen: the Groove numbers The Way She Walks, Hit Me and the beautiful Wake Me Up (one of the two cover songs, the format to attract much).
By the way: Level 42 mixed similar stylistics in much the same way as the Dirty Loops: but the 3 Sweden bring a much more modern and contemporary sound. For me personally, one of the revelations of the last 10, 15 years in Pop / Rock / Funk / Jazz!
