You will only get ripped off in the field F2P here because you have to pay at every turn for things that are just self-evident to even have fun on an MMO. Essential game content are a deprived, progress is delayed, some quests give no loot and constantly it is a rubbed under his nose that third-class players to stay as long as you do not buy subscription.
And vanity stuff for real Micro Transactions are rare.
You can expect no one that a company does not make money with their product, but the makers of SW: TOR simply do not understand what the attraction (and, ultimately, financial success) of a F2P title accounts.
The whole system here only aims the players a bit of the great quests (Lvl 1-50) to show. But if he really wants to play reasonably successful and frustration free, he must take out a subscription. At a certain level it is even impossible to play without a subscription, as there are for F2P players a credit limit that is so low that you can not even buy some items for his level. Other important functions (especially in the endgame) are only possible as long as you have a subscription.
Normal there should be in F2P ways individually unlock such things as Micro Transaction. One imagines quasi its own Game features together with whom you want to play. Go here but not, because much is about Micro Transactions nonexistent shop information (eg credit limit dissolve), another just insanely expensive.
This all leads to the conclusion that it simply does not go long without a subscription. So no real F2P.
So not people, that's a sham!
