The 21: 9 format I liked right away, because I then found the TV from Philips pretty damn smart.
I never imagined then first times only one ordered, then the second right after that, but not here on Amazon.
As I said, as a programmer and ambitious photographer, I was looking for a monitor that gives me a lot of work area and also in this price range the best possible color represents. I've been tested several models, had me among other things also a 27-inch monitor from LG ordered (LG 27EA73LM-P) which but I again sent straight back because it compared to LG 29EA93-P was just bad. (Review from me on Amazon)
Now to the monitor:
I am absolutely satisfied with the Monitor LG 29EA93-P!
So much so that I even have two pieces of it on my desk.
Admittedly, the format is first of all a bit unusual, if you connect it for the first time and turn-ons. But that's only at first so quickly comes joy. After you have compared to usual 16:10 or 16: 9 formats more space to the left and right, what one has to get used first of all. It went with me but really fast, especially when the work had paid off directly at me. Meanwhile, I would not want to miss all this, because it just makes a lot of fun to work with the monitors.
I had read many open programs such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver, I had to split them into my second old monitors from Samsung; On the left monitor Photoshop, on the right monitor Dreamweaver. With the new LG monitors 29EA93-P, the has done, I can easily make both programs open on only one monitor, as it no less than to share space with a resolution of 2560x1080 pixels themselves. So now the other monitor for other programs such as browsers me remains etc. and further use of what I really find very great.
The monitor also has the function to split the image to multiple devices. So you could connect 2 devices to it and split the image accordingly, but what I do not use. I had only tested only briefly, what worked well - however, the no longer needed me.
The Monitor LG 29EA93-P is processed very chic and modern. Solely the pedestal was me from the very beginning an eyesore. As I sit at least 8 hours in front of PC on the day, me the monitor using either its stand was too low, so I've ordered directly a few Monitor Arms for the desktop. So I can do the monitor in height perfectly to sit so in an optimum position before. (Who wants to know which monitor arms I use it, please ask)
The image is perfect for the price-performance ratio! I have no problems of "Rain" in the black area, had only just once to calibrate and adjust the monitor something. However, I have made for me the perfect settings quickly locate and am absolutely satisfied. . The IPS Panell does exactly what it is, it makes the colors very well and great illuminated represents Especially in my work with graphics and photos to make the always quickly noticeable; Absolutely no comparison to my old LCD monitors from Samsung.
The resolution of 2560x1080 pixels is great! The 640 pixels more in width compared to Full HD make no matter where and how repeatedly noticeable, whether surfing, Word or other office work or even with programs like Photoshop, Lightroom or Adobe Premiere. Who really much as I want to work with this monitor, is here definitely not be disappointed. Once you get used to it, you will certainly not want to miss it. What with me was the reason why I have the same even brought me a second monitor to to complete on 21: 9 format to upgrade.
As for the speakers, can / I want to judge anything because I use other speakers. In my opinion that is often overrated anyway and expect too much. I do not care how the speakers are, since it depends much more on the image and the entire monitor me, rather than the loudspeaker. For this I use speaker, no monitor.
Now even a really great thing that I really want to tell here from experience: "gamble" The pleasure when I play in the evening always enjoy a round of Battlefield - and that's with the LG 29EA93-P really a pure experience! With the resolution of 2560x1080 pixels which is great fun! Compared to Full HD with 1920x1080 pixels has left and right again more field of view, which pays really just in games like Battlefield, since you have so much more "field of view" to the left and right. The play with the monitor makes just totally fun! Battlefield 3 + 4, Need for Speed Rivals, Command & Conquer for example support all the resolution of 2560x1080 pixels and can play really great. Check it out! ;-)
NOTE: The issue of "response time" is discussed here hot. Also I had here once test, especially in games like Battlefield. Be sure the menu the response time to "slow" position! (Menu -> Image -> response -> "Slowly") To make it work well, without streaks with faster response. If one is on "fast" it is just the opposite, it "schliert" and the FPS are very unclean. Whether the court has confused here I do not know, anyway, you have to think here reversed: slow = fast, quick slow =.
In a nutshell, positive:
+ Price / Performance Top
+ 21: 9 format perfectly
+ Resolution 2560x1080 pixel super
Processed + Very stable and high quality
+ Super chic design
+ Great picture, great colors
+ Power work much fun
+ Even more fun at the "gamble"
+ Comprehensive configuration options
+ Energy saving, great picture, thanks to LED
Overall, I forgive the monitor full marks!
Should anyone have any questions, just make in the comments.
