Family bereavement boosted!

Jonathan Trooper, American author, raging for ten years now in the literature "satirical-social", a genre that suits him rather well in general. In his new novel, he decided to listen to a Jewish family whose children have left the family fold and in which the father just died suddenly. All children so go home and rabbi tells them they must respect the last wish of their father and celebrate Shiv'ah, Jewish religious tradition requiring persons concerned to stay together for a week as an funeral tribute . The problem is that the three brothers and their sister do not get along really well ...

So the overall pitch of departure, which happened at the Trooper roping will necessarily be explosive! For this already complicated starting point, the narrator, named Judd explains quickly he has just seen his marriage explode into pieces because his wife was sleeping with his own boss! This bleak picture (the reader will discover over the flaws all the more pleasurable pages than the other of the other members of the family!), Jonathan Trooper manages to extirpate the essence to make us laugh at the misfortunes of others, vile characters we are!

This new novel is also probably the funniest that wrote the author. Certainly, the gossips can easily argue that humor is often located below the belt and sometimes it is a little fat. However, it is never stodgy, and it is this humor that vase Trooper manages to bring out the cutest sentiments. And the reader delights in the marriage of humor and the memory of a missing relative (with all that that implies as a quest: the meaning of life, the memory of good times with the person, the need to know who he really was, etc.). Writing is still as incisive and never gets lost or in a merry, nor in the maudlin. It is only there to tell us the things of life with appreciable acuity.

In the end, the reader emerges from this book with a real banana. Certainly, life is hard, life certainly is not easy nor free of setbacks. At the same time, it's nice, and beautiful by moments of grace that it offers. If the "carpe diem" that delivers Trooper is a bit outdated, it remains refreshing!
