Poland (Remastered 2CD Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The Berliner Electronic Music lineup Tangerine Dream released in 1984 with "Poland", a double-LP, which is based on a concert in Warsaw.
In 1980 the band had the same occupation, E.Froese / Schmoelling / Franke, given in (East) Berlin a fantastic concert, were released from the parts under the name "Pergamon".
As a band, the music without vocals, even without lyrics played, they had it easier, behind the act "Iron Curtain", as for those in charge there any "provocations" by the music were to be feared.
Despite the freezing temperatures in the minus range, it was a great, great acclaim.
Again get the listener, although it is a live double album, offered no known, again down played music, but new material, even if short Parts based on known.
The electronic, synthetic sounds can be quite typical of TD call in the 80s.
Partly very high, floating, ambient sounds that create an appropriate atmosphere, sometimes downright hypnotic Sequencerläufe are exactly what the band perfectly mastered and handed in here.
Especially the final part of my music favorites "Horizon" is likely to inspire themselves followers of older TD-hours.
The other three tracks come considerably catchier therefore.
Who appreciate in the 80s knows the direction of the force, can strike here without hesitation, who are no longer progressive and funky enough albums as "Hyperborea" or "Exit", could be disappointed here.
For me as an avid listener of music of the 70s, such as the 80s of TD (not from all albums, but most), is "Poland" is a great album, I always love to hear for many years.
The criticism leveled by the TD "electro-pop", I disagree with necessarily, although I must admit that the magic of albums like "Pergamon" or "Encore" is no longer achieved in this intensity for me.

Important:
Most publications on CD are truncated!
Although there were at that time as a CD first published the unabridged double CD, this one was but in very few shops and is a rarity today.
Most was offered a solo CD called "Extracts From Poland-The Warsaw Concert".
On this CD times just missing the entire track "Tangent".
The published in 1996 remastered edition of Essential / Sanctuary / Castle Records does contain "Tangent", for "Barbican" gekürzt.Das by several minutes remastering has also resulted in no sonic improvement, but probably at a reduced dynamic range, it's a Elend.Ansonsten the dynamic values were pleasantly well.
New releases came out repeatedly over the years; time has been shortened here, then there.
2011 then finally came back out an unabridged double CD.
Whether this issue was better remastered by Reactive / Esoteric Records, I do not know, because I have the old, unabridged vinyl pressing and but so very pleased bin.Die dynamic values are lt.der Database compared to 96 Remaster better.
Those who "Poland" will set on CD and has no desire to focus on the search for the unabridged age-old pressures of Jive Electro Relativity or to make (and gatherer prices to pay), but even doing here therefore the best deal because it is the unabridged version halt.
