Fantastic music - Remastering misses the point

Equal first: the music on this CD is fantastic! In Needless to lose hardly many words. And, although I am not a big fan of live albums'm generally! In addition, at selfsame in retrospect often much tart, not so at Rory.
Furthermore, I have to agree and determine the general canon that he has obviously unfolds live to greatness.
However, with regard this CD, I want to give another reviewers before me right: the re-mastering is unfortunately really failed and the old double CD version is many times better and tonally much more authentic (Moreover, in the double CD version yet a song longer included). Since one has it meant something too good, "Snatching" with and "raise" of frequencies. I can only recommend any potential buyer, a listen thoroughly beforehand. I feel the remastered version as scratchy and just for the music of Rory Gallagher (the yes of the soul, the warmth and of course - the main keyword - living the proverbial "BLUES") hardly beneficial. Not without reason are indeed happy times old mastering, as recently happened in Bowie or the Stooges, sometime but then hung up. A deluxe version with the old mastering, all songs of the double LP / CD version and maybe a couple of bonus tracks would have such a milestone as the "Irish Tour" happens to be, deserved in my eyes anyway.
