Here is a rough reading! Godel did not read like Paris-Match. We knew from Russell that logic is a diabolical discipline. With his incompleteness theorem and its philosophical extensions Godel opens other doors to vertigo. Man with his intuition, he can communicate with entities, virtual items, which the brain alone, as a finite state machine can not provide access? And these entities, benevolent or evil, are they part of a reality on which man asks from Plato. Godel, had he known Changeux, would have shown that neuronal man was a simplistic view. For a unique approach Godel showed that the mind or spirit, can not be limited to only brain activity. The debate on dualism emerges reinforced. Cassou-Nogues shows us that it is as much philosopher mathematician. Certainly incompleteness is central to the book, but Cassou-Nogues dissects the countless notes Godel to bring out this thought we do not know whether to call it madness.
