I am completely satisfied. The player starts up in about 10sec and the 2TB WD Elements plate is read by another 5sec and ready to go. What more do you want? This process took 5min + at Philips ... In my tested Blurays the starting time took about 15-22sek.
.avi, .mkv, .mp4 and .flac files are far all play without a problem.
h264 profile level higher than 4.1 are also supported.
Encodes 10bit are indeed playing, but unfortunately with artifacts (blockiness). This has, unfortunately, any standalone player still problems. But I wonder why they have not yet realized always, especially since the decoders are also using software for free.
Fi and DLNA over Serviio running stable so far and the establishment has worked on Anbieb
The drive noise is MMN. barely perceptible. But really have to put directly before the player itself. The Philips drive, however, was just a tad bit quieter.
The picture quality seems to me even when LG (subjectively) better before. .mkv files play smoothly. The Philips has happy times hung unexpectedly, yielding off and had to turn on the unit again.
Values such as contrast, brightness, color and sharpness can be in addition to some provisions (Standard, Movie, Vivid, etc.) and even fine-tune and I very quickly found an optimal value for me. (+ 3 / -1 / + 1 / + 3). This of course also depends on the respective settings of the TV's.
In the player's settings I selected 24Hz. Moving to 50Hz, if necessary, automatically takes place with my Samsung LCD Series 6. So therefore there should be no problems for most TV's.
Really negative is not noticed me.
Small drawback is as already mentioned-in other reviews, the remote control, since the buttons are still quite small. Nevertheless, the response is good and not so slow as with Philips.
The only thing I'm missing something, is the zoom function while playing a video. This could be 4: 3 content, a small zoom little to reduce the side bar a little. However, under the cuts of the top and bottom information.
Conclusion: Anyone looking for a Bluray player with very good support of media content and a good price-performance, should strike here. Functions as Miracast, Youtube, etc. vTuner and all apps (Who needs it) round the whole then again from. Unique buy recommendation
