Once I bought a Promise Raid and the permanent noise was extremely annoying, I bought as normal memory two My Books. Why two because 6TB on, and the second is from time to time to beat to backupen to the first. The two parts are virtually inaudible, now after almost a year I hear hi and there a little fan, but nothing compared to the tornado of celebrities raids. Yes the celebrities is much faster, but for HD editing ranging from MyBooks thick. Even 4k (depending on codec) are still playable. I turn on the Promise one only when it really needs to be extremely fast and permanently secure, so if I cut with plenty Camera material. For all postal and 3D work are the My Books my choice and I'll buy these drives again in the future.
