Fatal Beauty

For a long time I had not read a novel by Mishima. And I must say that I found in it all the refinement so dear to the author. The style is elegant and clear (probably should we commend the remarkable work of the translator), descriptions of characters, thorough and transparent.

Thus we follow the young Mizoguchi during his novitiate while discovering his psychological development. Begue and ugly, his hatred of beauty will be growing. It is hoped that attendance Tsurukawa his friend, another novice, will allow it to improve, both those who are supposed to frame it not really exert influence on him, but he disappears too soon. Finally, it was alongside another novice, Kashiwagi, that will Mizoguchi out its strategy to erase what represents beauty par excellence the Golden Pavilion.

I admit I loved this novel and I think it is a book of a much simpler approach than others I've read Mishima. Perhaps is it good to start with this one for a taste of the complexity of the author?
