So now I have the EF-S 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II. And it's fun!
+ Image quality for the price is great, no decentration (2 specimens tested), besondes sharp at f 8, maximum aperture is for "non-Pixelpeeper" fine too!
+ Image stabilization does a good job, never had a lens with IS, therefore I am pleased that particular!
+ Price: 120 euros for such an objective ?! Unbeatable! If it were not ...
- Processing: The price has to come from somewhere. You really get what you paid for.
Only plastic (except for the lens itself). The bayonet ring to zoom everything is plastic here. Although creaks nothing, but the feeling was ever better.
What I like: focus ring runs very easily (I think better than too tight). The zoom ring does not run smoothly, in the middle nice and light, with 18 or 55mm, but much more difficult ... not bother me but even so ...
Conclusion:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The lens is one in every camera bag! For the price it offers stunning quality! Although one is skeptical at the sight / at the first touch, but the results on the screen can be seen.
And for my "clientele", friends and family, it is anyway irrelevant whether the edge area now has 1500 line pairs or 2000 pairs of lines. The noted eh no layman!
In my equipment with a 50mm f1.4, with which I can compensate for the light intensity (at celebrations, for example), and a telephoto fits it perfectly pure.
You have to know where to put his priorities and investing accordingly halt. To me, that is enough. Strong buy recommendation for all-between landscape photographers!
