I list here some impressions that have not yet been so illuminated:

Negatives:
----------
* Much larger than usual 15 "laptops, the format more like a 17". But pleasantly flat, light, stable and high quality.
* When you tap the abundant supporting surface supports relaxed working. But the keyboard and touchpad are sitting quite deep, so that the hands are supportive in touchpad operation not quite from the circulation. In addition to making it a little further away from the screen. Here some space was given away to the top. Not so bad.
* No keyboard illumination. You can see the letters poorly in the dark. The display is not enough because of in order to really see the keys as you can and still needs some light reading. But that was expected and I list here for the sake of completeness.

Chrome OS:
---------------
Apart from the fact that Chrome OS is outstanding afloat, instantly wakes up after opening and is super simple design and very ergonomically usable, I noticed negative:
* No 2-finger zoom on the touchpad. Zoom 2-finger scrolling in apps like Google Maps does not work reliably. But that is on the other laptops so on Apple Macbooks.
* Unclear distribution of bookmarks (Apps) in the status bar versus Browsertabs. Manmal a click goes to the associated tab (Youtube), in other cases, new tab is opened (Docs), which is somehow inconsistent (even worse in the other operating systems, such as Windows)
* Notification unclear concept. Did not manage to get a reference on Google mails or Facebook messages
* No Allways on. Unlike Android ChromeOS can not probably. This may date but no desktop / laptop OS.

Positives:
---------
* Have I at Media Markt times the available Windows laptops in the 500, - looked at EUR price range - there is by far not approached the build quality of the Chromebook 15. It creaks nothing. The plastic almost good to. The roughened surface like that. Even the White looks chic. But anything but a robust workhorse as a designer piece. OK then!
* Omitting one Numpads is worth gold. This keyboard and touchpad sit centrally, much better work than on an asymmetric configuration, which is usually the case with 15-inch wheels.
* Touchpad glides excellent sets all inputs and gestures to good. In particular, the 2-finger scrolling works fine, no lag and absolutely reliable, that one has otherwise rare (in Windows laptops), is quite at the level of an Apple. One should govern the setting the speed to max Touchscrren, otherwise the pointer moves too slowly. The 2-finger scrolling direction can be there also reverse.
* Taps his keyboard like Macbook Air, but the key travel is slightly shorter. But nice crisp, you can write it perfectly. Mir gefällts. Keyboard area is certainly absolute solid, no flex.
* There is no Delete, which is like Apple on the Backspace (Alt), for me, therefore, no great familiarization. The Ctrl key is a bit further to the left than usual (because there is no Fn button), which is a bit strange. But you can replace Ctrl and Alt in the settings if you like.
* The display is very good. Although it is not particularly loud or bright. But at maximum brightness there is enough. Only outdoor in the sun, one would want a little more, which would then go on but certainly strong battery performance, therefore a good compromise. By matting that almost completely eliminates reflections, and the low parallax results in a very pleasant and relaxed visual impression, ideal for working on texts. For video also impressive, the colors are quite strong, but because some reflective display pop more pure.
* When the black levels I was skeptical at first, had not found this in the reviews. To assess the excerpts I've selected from films, with a lot of black in black. The viewed in direct comparison on a Galaxy Tab S, which is currently well with best display with the best black and contrast values. Subjective impression of image is absolutely comparable to the Chromebook. The black level in dark film sequences are well resolved.
* For the 15 "one would want something more than the Full HD resolution, you can see the pixels, if you are daring enough. But for the scaling of the text fits well. Price, performance and battery life remain chic and also for Full HD Videos this is the best resolution.
* Scaling the font I've set to 150%. This web pages are perfect in size. All apps and dialogues scale corresponding with. Only the tab headers are not mitskaliert. Not even the pop-up window. I think it's perfect, because that would otherwise unnecessarily waste space, but that is something of taste. As far as I see, there is no configuration option for the Tab headers / popups. Ask me how Chrome will then run at higher resolutions, such as pixel 2 - funny.
* The speaker popping a first away so much pressure I've ever experienced in any laptop. Bass, although modest, but it arrived completely. Overall top sound, top stereo impression top for films can indeed be compared with simple PC powered speakers. Connecting external boxes is no longer necessary (but still sounds natural again much richer).
* There is probably a brightness sensor for the display. I have this in Chrome OS but can not find any settings and not found that auto brightness function. Do you have to do so manually. However, one can prosper eh consistently on max brightness.
* Variant with Celeron is already rapidly. I have a 50Mbit DSL line and a 5GHz wireless router - so flying the Chromebook almost through the Internet. Had flirted with the i3 version and then because of 100, - EUR additional costs decided against. More power than the Celeron is not really necessary and probably imperceptible to normal work, so worth only for power users.
* First use came to about 8 hours of battery life when operating with surfing, video, texts. On max Heligkeit. I find outstanding for such a large display and the delivered performance.
* Nice is also the charger plug. Which is angled and may otherwise rotate in the socket. This avoids abklickende cable. The power supply is also nice compact and lightweight.
