Installation:
It works fine on Mac OS X (10.6.8), to download just the driver for the device and no additional software from the manufacturer website that does not need one. I have both the wifi push button (WPS) device (Static IP without DHCP) to wireless router, as well as the ad-hoc connection (DHCP) can set up in a few seconds directly to the iMac.
Print quality:
The print quality on plain paper is very good. Also special papers I was able to test some and have to say that the quality of Epson original paper is actually best. My favorite is currently Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper. . I use no specific printer profiles, but simply Adobe RGB as a submitter profile (Lightroom with Adobe RGB soft proof 16-bit -> Epson Color Controls (Color Options, Adobe RGB) As soon as I can the special paper will bear it, the printing quality: "Photo RPM" recommend. Then you see any small color dots more on the printed photo (5760x1440dpi instead 1440x1440).
The color temperature of the printouts is still a bit chilly, but this is due to the paper. Maybe someone knows a little warmer glossy paper in very good quality (10x15cm, A4)?
Consumption:
After 30 photos in 10x15cm on photographic paper, the display is at 90% (Photo Black, C, M, Y) with the cartridge set from the delivery (no XL cartridges). After 20 pages of b / w A4 printing even at 100% (normally black).
Copy and Scan:
Have copies in b / w on plain paper a few pages. That was fast and without turning on the computer.
I'm very satisfied with the device, although there could be smaller on the sides 3-4cm :)
