Black Ice (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Whole eight years it took to AC / DC have released the successor of Stiff Upper Lip. Of course, it was not a classic like the albums between Let There Be Rock and For Those About To Rock, but a good album but it has become. The album reached number one in the world charts and was a huge success, just like the tour to the album. Brian Johnson sings better here than on its predecessors and Angus Young plays as good lead guitar as always. Otherwise, are still on board. Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar, Phil Rudd on drums and Cliff Williams on bass.

Since the album has quite a lot of songs I will not mention all, but only those which I consider particularly well, or otherwise noteworthy.
"Rock'n'Roll Train" (4:22) is a hymn-like song that was already known before Veröffntlichung. He has a good riff and is played on the tour as an introduction to a concert.
"Big Jack" (3:57) is a good rocker who likes the same and can sing along with the chorus. A great song!
"Anything Goes" (3:21) is an AC / DC unusually poppy song where the guitar-like keyboard and the beautiful melodies has.
"Stormy May Day" (3:10), a shorter song, with a slide guitar in the beginning, is a beautiful song, in which precisely this Slide Guitar is a special feature.
"Rock'n'Roll Dream" (4:40) is a rare ballad that comes along only relaxes nicely and yet losrockt right in the chorus. One of my favorite songs.
"Black Ice" (3:25), the theme song has a interesantes reef and I can not exactly describe what makes him so good. Anyway, good and finished this successful album worthy.

The predecessors were slightly bluesy failed, which is less the case on this album. For AC / DC here try something new, which I think is good of them. Black Ice is a successful late work, the AC / DC shows in the form and leads me to a 4 star rating for me. Hoffntlich make AC / DC ganau so on.
