I myself, who was looking for a good development method (of course, you have to have serious preliminary bases!) I'm not too lost, even if I find the speech rate sometimes a little excessive. The vocabulary lessons seems reasonable, although I fear it does not allow necessarily read directly then a Russian newspaper "in the text." The texts themselves are sometimes satirical, live, and generally uninhibited compared to the Russian reality: it is far from "the pen of my aunt is smaller than the garden of my uncle." There are quite a few familiar phrases, but of course no "mat"! (Obscene slang for the exclusive use of the Russians). There are also exercises, as always with Assimil plus a grammatical appendix and a glossary welcome. In short, for 70 euros ... calculate what you would cost of tuition and compare.
