"Funeral", the debut of the indie band Arcade Fire area allocated, actually appeared in September 2004 in the USA and proposed in insider circles like a bomb. What Modest Mouse well managed half a year before, namely to submit the indie reference work the next time, this troupe proceeded smoothly again. Well, the album is also in this country regularly available since March. What's so enchanting to Arcade Fire, shows the opener "Neighborhood # 1 (Tunnels)". A gentle piano allows the listener to heaven hover up, the line "You change all the lead sleeping in my head to gold," says it all. A total of 4 parts of "Neighborhood" songs there are, however, a special relationship can not be recognized. Rather, the whole album works self-contained, the sequence is simply brilliant. And not only this. The songs can convince themselves. Most pompous arranged a bit cheesy, emotionally, but never too much of an ingredient. "Wake Up" impresses itself with its chorus, the stomping "Rebellion (Lies)" you may like to declare as anthem. And "In The Backseat" asks to wind down. "Funeral" is on its way pleasantly old-fashioned and as brilliant. Please note, this band! Highlights: Neighborhood # 1 (Tunnels) | Wake Up | Rebellion (Lies)
