After I had initial Back focus which could not be solved by the camera's internal adjustment, I sent the lens along with the Nikon D800 service.
The result then was top notch. An incredible sharpness, similar to my 85 1.8G at himself aperture setting.
Autofocus is fast and accurate. Unfortunately, the weight is very high and the camera / lens are very top-heavy with it. In addition, there is no lens clamp, so you better use a tripod on the adjuster, so that the front is not too much weight.
Bokeh is thanks to the 9 diaphragm blades for a zoom lens very well, but does not serve up some good fixed focal lengths. The aspherical elements have unfortunately their disadvantages.
Contrast is good at f 2.8, awarded at f 4.
Backlight sensitivity is very good. Lens Hood works effectively.
Slight vignetting at maximum aperture, but can be corrected well with software.
Slight distortion at wide angle, but is okay.
All in all I would recommend this very objective and it will long be my faithful companion.
Who can not be put off by the weight, will find a lens that is worth its price.
