I have had the Touch HD by HTC now more than 2 years old - has survived an outstanding device that even without damage a fall from the second floor on stone slabs (!) - I had to click together there only again and it was just as good as before. Even after more than 2 years no scratches, no scratches, no wear and tear - stop just what outdated.
This quality knowledge I went to look for a new smartphone. This time I wanted to buy it directly, without being tied to a contract and I have been looking (for 4-5 months to be exact).
The only question was just if I now sell my soul to Google, Microsoft or Apple - but I am very happy with the choice of hardware and software.
As the Desire S was announced I thought to myself "that's it" - and have proven right.
When the original Desire bent tail me has always bothered, this is not just - it's similar to the shape and size as the Touch HD, but just what narrower. I have chosen deliberately for a slightly smaller screen - 4 inches of the Incredible S are too big for me. I want a phone, no pad on the ear.
As described by some other processing is * my * Desire S very well - I have no gap dimension problems and the phone feels good and high quality. Within a short time I had set up all important data and the rest was self-explanatory. For me as a pen / accustomed hand, I had to first get used to the pure touch input, but it goes very well. Wireless Internet access is not a problem, the reception is fine, just 3G when I'm out and about. The software (whether Internet, Spieleapp, Facebook, etc ...) is always fast and reliable.
Conclusion: An excellent fit for me and my needs unit - valent, stable and exactly my size. Android runs super fast and reliable.
Oh yes - the 8GB card is already there, the only thing that was missing for me personally, the cell phone pocket is the at the Touch HD was there and was just awesome (microfiber). But then there are many options for replacement in the market (I recommend urgently what what inside microfiber has).
