At first I do not believe that the adapter fits.
Even if it does not seem so at first that the
Plug belong together, they fit the '99 Cougar.
Bit shaky and "windy" all. Is probably a tribute
to the compatibility with other manufacturers.

Nevertheless - the adapter fits - it does exactly what it should.
