The LED lamp is powered by one AAA battery, which is also included in the delivery. The output of 8 lumens may seem sometimes not sound overly impressive, but light enough for normal home use or in the car completely. Not much larger than a ballpoint pen fits the flashlight actually in (almost) any pocket. For the price you can not go wrong, but it is limited in size but a bit delicate.
