My first impression after unpacking the steering wheel was: "Wow, what a Trumm!" The size of the wheel housing is amazing and probably not suitable for any desk or coffee table. The pedals are also of very expansive, but also provide for the expected high-quality impression. After a short test I have rebuilt the pedals of the standard standing on the hanging position, which should also lay artisanal easily go out of hand.
The steering is precise and crisp with force-feedback effects. More often the rubberized surface of the steering wheel is criticized. I can not quite understand yet. Last weekend I went to a 24-hour race a total of about 9h. Despite sweaty hands I've never had the impression that the steering wheel has lost its grip. It was the whole time perfectly in your hand.
Even so will I not fail to mention the related shift paddles. For all other known to me steering wheels, the shift paddles rotate with the steering wheel, so you never have to embrace for the switching operations. That would be with the T500 is the case, because if one necessarily with a large steering pure shock even want to switch. I do this as a rule not know why I set out not particularly disturbing.
Yet all is not gold that glitters ...
With the default driver, the buttons on the steering wheel can not customize how the example with the Logitech Profiler is possible, but with an additional tool is also easily feasible. Here Thrustmaster could have given a little more effort.
Also, I've found that the steering wheel after calibrating again had a deformity. Sometimes it was a few degrees to the left, then to the right again. At first I found on the Internet only a description with which you could specify the center position of a button manually. This process should, according to the description but not repeat too often. Only later I came across a guide, with which one could change the Kalibirierungsmodus of the steering wheel. Since then I have not had the problem with the deformity. I would have liked, that something like this clearly obvious is passed by Thrustmaster to users. I joined just by doing a search in English on this feature.
On smooth ground (in my laminate) slip pedals extremely light. Even on a permanently laid carpet slipped me the pedals after some time more and more. That may be because I come extremely in the pedals, but I've seen from other manufacturers already better solutions for this problem. Ultimately, I built a device to keep the pedals to its intended position.
Despite the described hiccups I am very satisfied with the purchase and recommend the steering wheel you!
