I may sit in the brass band usually in front of the drums. As I now prepare real pain denominated and high sounds of hi-hats, and the shots of the Wood- or jam block, I was looking for a largely linear damper, with whom I already but not understand what the conductor to say on the podium has. The so-called "jack of all trades" so.
The Music Safe Pro are 3 different pairs of filters suppositories. The silver-gray and gold-colored (as well as in the version Classic) attenuate too strong. To ensure that no voice communication is possible.
Only the white filter ("MusicSafe White") with the lowest attenuation (about 10-24 dB) are useful for my application. Although the damping is also quite strong, but understand language is still possible.
I understand still not enough, I manage myself so that plugs to pull or loosen a little out of the ear canal out. This is, at least for me, quite good. The stop is then still ensures the plugs do not fall out.
Of course, this is not optimal.
But unfortunately I have found no other product with a subtle attenuation of eg 6 dB attenuation.
The damping is (as well as other products) not linear. See a table at the back of the product. This is in many cases certainly no disadvantage or even desirable. In my case, something detrimental. The sound frequencies of the trumpets are in fact the most subdued. I hardly hear the trumpet so my colleagues set, but only myself.
Still others musicians, such as those authorized to sit in front of the plate are high, but probably exactly like about this product!
Note in conclusion: If the plugs used without a filter, acts and is indeed everything louder. The whole is then anything but linear. One hears mostly middle tones. For music so not usable. The filter elements must be already used.
Summary:
+ Also includes relatively weak damping filter, with the still voice understanding is possible
+ Comfortable to wear
+ Recommended for musicians who may sit eg trumpet sentence or before the percussion in the orchestra in front of the high sheet
Only conditionally recommendable for trumpeter since precisely these sound frequencies most subdued -
