Before you can enter his books / audio books in the Journal, there is a preface (Why a reading journal? Building a reading journal), a how to complete (not required to, the sides are self-explanatory) and diverse literature do (for me irrelevant, I always enough reading material on hold). Then we go to the reading diary "My Books". The journal provides space for about 88 book titles that you can hold on either side. Not only the title, author, reading period and genre may be listed, there is also space for comments / quotes, a personal final evaluation and the info on how you came to the book / audio book. Really great. The only drawback for me as a frequent reader is the intake level of the journal. I read over 100 books a year. With 88 entries, the journal would not be enough for me all year.
According to the book entries follow a "Thematic register". Here one can note reading tips, hold borrowed or lent books or write which books you want to give away. For me unnecessary to extensively, thus verschenkter space for book entries.
With the final "personal dictionary" I can start anything. An address equal to one author, title and page can record here. But why? Look it up? The Journal is explained that sometimes when reading encounters words that are not very familiar. These can be listed here. But really hundreds? For me totally unnecessary. This journal district would be left out, or can the "My Books" expand -section.
The Journal is read for the casual reader certainly an option. Should be available for frequent readers necessarily more pages. The headings "Thematic register" and "Personal Dictionary" could have been left out in my opinion.
