I want to say in this review nothing about the gameplay and the game itself. The have hundreds already done before me. Rather, I would like to highlight the differences between Brawl and Melee predecessor. This review is intended to reflect the opinion of those who have played and loved the Melee and can not quite get used to Brawl. I would like to discuss why this is the case.
There are two groups of players. Some praise Super Smash Bros Brawl, because it has a huge scope, numerous possibilities and offers is simple and easy to understand even for the newcomers. The others demonize Brawl for its game mechanics and stay with Melee (these people are obviously outnumbered - of course). This remains so even up to you. Tastes are different.
I Brawl now gambled more than 250 hours and reichts me so. The game mechanics is not balanced, it is virtually impossible to make reasonable combos. Anyone who has played Melee and could deal with Captain Falcon, noted immensely that it is no longer possible with him to bring decent chained attacks materialize. I had to move to another because of my favorite fighters since Brawl N64 times. Thanks Brawl Captain Falcon is now a weakling, you have to put it that way. His hitbox (the area of his body that deals damage in attacks) is a joke in a dogfight. It is no longer possible to attakieren an opponent reasonable after having thrown him into the air. And Falcon is not the only one who has such a "cut" in his ways. All characters move slower and slower to access.
And then this constant accidental falling down, how many times I have therefore already lost. Very annoying.
Melee, however, is the game for Pro's. Here it is not enough to be in arrears and to collect a TKO just to get then "accidentally" to re-enter a Final Smash and to make 1 to 2 KO's in a row (this is obtained by the way, even if items are switched off - an absurdity!).
In melee, the victory must be earned. Who has for months played melee, is beaten by a Noob not once more - in Brawl, however already, thanks to chance.
One then knows the game and knows how the wind blows. One can build skill and bring about devastating combos. Or miserably lose if the other is simply better. Brawl, however, focuses on unearned fairness.
Brawl is simply what the Wii console also otherwise presented. Child-friendly, for casual gamers and hardcore gamers the demands simply no longer out. The melee community will agree with me.
I for one am going to again play this good old Melee and make a few well-deserved KO's.
Thank you for reading.
