However, there are alternatives. So you can for example the software Cockpit XP fetch the data from the control unit to the computer and thus has a complete overview of position, and times when using the new pit lane (or Pit-Stop Adapter) also tank levels of individual vehicles. Driver displays, position-Tower and also the current lap counters are superfluous.
I especially like the new Real-tank mode, go in the cars with a full tank slowly and have a longer stopping distance. It is clearly noticeable that improves with decreasing tank the acceleration and the braking effect increases.
Another plus is that when the Control Unit and the old wireless handhelds from the Pro-X time can be used.
The control unit is well made and works flawlessly for me. The bumping of vehicles to the built-in rail diodes, as reported in some forums, I can confirm Carrera vehicles at any of the tested Original. But if you so many distance-plate sets with the magnets that these already grinding on the busbar or other tire rearing, it can certainly come to this effect. To get straight to the point: The diodes actually protrude slightly, but with my CU they are not higher than the busbar and also slightly higher.
