This book is very useful for a practice of the asanas at home, in addition to yoga classes: I would have been unable to achieve these postures correctly without some months of practice with a teacher to learn the basics (breathing, control of body alignment, sequence of postures ...). Note that many postures reported as suitable for beginners are in reality difficult to achieve, given the possibility of getting hurt (possibly unknowingly) or over-stretching the areas that can be fragile (hips, knees, back). We must therefore know a minimum body and the basic rules for safe practice. For those interested I recommend for further reading "I learn yoga" by A. Van Lysebeth (an essential classic) and "Yoga without damage" JP Bouteloup, arduous work that must be read and reread, but which contains very useful information to adopt good postures.
