Too bad that this optical and mechanical quality travel zoom made in Japan is no longer in series. It is only used in the old stock or available. I have used here and buy practically new. I did not consciously accepted the new 18-250 because I wanted to have the lens of Japanese manufacturing and better optical properties. I Scan everything from his hand with a few exceptions, the new 250 mm would be barely usable for me. In good light that works well 18-200. In combination with my A 58 there at the AF nothing to complain about. When the light is right, you can get good pictures of birds, planes and other moving targets. In treacherous situations must be focused manually halt. The point of this AF-type only after switching off the automatic on the camera and use the focus aid from the A 58. That is, if necessary, the opportunity for good videos with the 18-200 if the clearly audible AF interferes with the videos. The kit 18-55-2 else better suited for videos and the best SAL 1650. The 18-55er kit lens you need but otherwise little more. Most is the time to take pictures rather short and with this objective it is well prepared and has not only rausholen the Tele. In low light, you can rely only on the trick with your camera. For these cases help in addition to the flash a bright fixed focal length. I have therefore the cheap 50 mm / 1.8 combined to so can the full potential of the Focus A be used 58. I can only recommend this nice trip Zoom with the foregoing. In combination with a lightweight and high-intensity fixed focal length you have a good portable equipment for almost all cases.
