PROCESSING:
The build quality is adequate for the price. The case is processed properly and you do not feel to have a cheap disposable camera in hand. The buttons have a good pressure point and what I unlike our Nikon S6300 particularly like - the flap for the battery compartment was finally revised and provided with a spring. So it seems less rickety and likely hold better in the long run.
HANDLING:
The handling of the camera is good. Due to the weight you notice they hardly in hand. In addition, it is really compact design, so that they can truly be described as pocket camera. So as made if you look for a camera that will be always with you. Despite their small size, the camera still can but keep in good hands. It is operated actually only with your right hand. All buttons are easily accessible. Something you have to watch out when used on the thumb on the camera, here it can occasionally happen that you come to the SCENE button.
MENU:
The Nikon menu is very clearly laid out and therefore also for beginners, children, etc. more than suitable. Here one must not struggle through great menu items to find the right attitude. The camera controls virtually everything themselves (Scene Auto Selector).

PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGE QUALITY:
Photography is very simple - in principle you have to push through, the rest is done by the camera almost even (perhaps set whether the flash is used, whether the image brighter / darker is to be included and that was actually already) the shutter button. Scene Auto works quite well and was able to convince in everyday situations. Committee almost not produced the camera here. As for picture quality, I would say this is mediocrity. Weather permitting, the small Nikon delivers a very respectable images with vibrant colors, the lighting conditions are somewhat more difficult (for example, hazy, hazy) then pushes the camera quickly reach their limits and you get quite pale, veiled images.
Also the noise is for this price range in order. In low areas (100-200) no or hardly any noise can be observed, from 400 it starts from 800, it is already clearly visible and everything is about is grieslig or must be eliminated via software, if you which want to make trouble.
I would say that the field of small Nikon is clearly in the range of snapshots, which are not so far as to the absolute image quality.
One area where the Nikon but very quickly reaches its limits, is the recording of movements or sports activities. To this end, the processor, the shutter lag is too big, too slow. The S3600 allows himself after only a little time to process the images shot and save. For sports photography therefore less suitable.
Another criticism is the screen for me. Although images can be reasonably assessed at first glance yet, but this is really annoying the time that elapses until the display shows the picture in full and not pixelated resolution. Anyone with a little time, the likely disturb the less sure who but, if you look at pictures in succession and want to shoot, the curse could often.

The S3600 is obtained exactly what you pay for - a snapshot camera, which can be quickly pulled out of his pocket and with the simple can be snapped straight on, without having to worry about settings and Co.. The picture quality is typical for this price range. Would I photograph my vacation so I would, however, make time in question. I think if you want a compact that will serve well for such situations, then it is better to take some money still in his hand and look in the range up to 250-300. So you will certainly happier in the long run.
