And this is absolutely the case with the Canon PowerShot.
It combines the following absolutely essential for me advantages:
-You Is small, light and handy
-You Is robust (dust and sand protected until 1,5m shatterproof)
-You Is waterproof (to 10 m)
-Frostsicher To -10 degrees
-By Quick trigger speed toll suitable for snapshots
-Quick Change between photo and video function by extracting key (thus are spontaneous video recordings possible)
-She Has a 5x zoom, even with video works
-She Has in addition to its numerous adjustment possibilities even explanations of what changed as a result (just for photo layman like me great !!)
-She Has an absolutely self-explanatory intuitive operation and menu navigation
-You Provides much automatically and can also adapt to poor lighting conditions (night or at dusk without a tripod possible)
-She Has an extra anti-shake
-The Picture quality surpasses my expectations
-Thanks GPS can be holiday photos in retrospect sort wonderful
-The Battery lasts very long
In short, this is for me the absolutely perfect camera, great to take away on vacation, extremely light in the luggage, even video-capable and able to automatically make the most of my snapshots.
For diving I need the camera, but I am glad that it is waterproof, as you can also at sea to plunge into the one or other snapshot in the water.
The only minor drawback I find that the manual is only available in digital form, I'd rather have a printed version.
Otherwise this camera is thoroughly recommended, in my view
PS: A memory card must be purchased separately to (I did not know, but probably normal), and the extra associated camera bag I had bought, but unfortunately this does not fit properly and is in my opinion too small (too bad!)
