G'day,
So for me the cable is plugged in 64-bit one hand to a USB port of a i3 desktop with Win7 and at the other end plugged a USB hub and is a wireless network adapter for a (just wireless) keyboard / mouse combination, for the purpose of better reception of the transmitted signals.
This text I'm writing this with "configuration".
As can be seen, this also works with the cable.

If anyone is interested, ... ;-)
