Since a new PC (here iMac) was in the house, had to be a external drive for the Mac, as the internal is no longer installed.
This I can easily my CD's into iTunes populating, see the 27 '' monitor Blue Ray etc. So far no failure or incompatibility.
Recommended since the transmission speed much better than USB 2.0 is (if available port).
