Forrest Gump-the Soundtrack (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The film will be aware, but you remember because even the music that was always there in the background, basic or loud as background? No? Then ran to the bacon, because these double CD actually contains songs from the 60er'n its best. And especially the compilation convinced totally. For only when listening to some pieces in succession comes really the zeitgeist of the time over.
On the first CD there are such highlights as "Hounddog" Elvis, "California Dreamin '" by The Mamas & The Papas or "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel! Especially the latter two pieces are reminiscent of the time of the flower children of the west coast and the surfer culture of those years. But also on the Vietnam War and demonstrations as well as the whole side effects such as policing or racial riots.
The second CD is then raised the whole thing with Scott McKenzie and "San Francisco" or "Jefferson Airplane and" Volunteers ". It's great and the best title but is the Forest Gump suite at the end of the album. A slow piano solo at its finest. Class added and very emotionally performed by Alan Sylvestri. Then gradually translated the strings and give the whole more and more the sound of a large orchestra. A successful end of a mistaken good soundtrack!
