L'année du Tigre (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The horror was great. After "La Pendule" had already closed in my heart, which was to be heard as a stream on the official website in advance, I was staring at a video that was announced as first single: "Marilyn". To say it in German: The song began to shit (nanananana - Wow ... unbelievably annoying ...) was not better then ended and shit and I just thought so: Shit. So was it the well for Ina-I. Laid great debut album and then produce from the mainstream, some radio-friendly cheeses, to even the pasta can still sing along gehirnamputierteste chart. Nanananana. Oh please.

Nevertheless. One is a fan. It is expected the worst, but of course you can hear the album still on. And fortunately, I can give the all clear: "Marilyn" is not representative of this album. Who has her debut "Ina-Ich" already convinced, can safely access even at "L'année du Tigre".

For all others who perhaps for the first time about Ina-I stumble here, I'll explain anyway happy again, what we have to do it and I take for a comparison I've used in the review for their debut album because he simply aptly is: There are moments when sound Ina-I inevitably to the French version of Lisa Dal Bello. This means: Great vocal range and feeling behind it, rather than simple intonation ability plus music, who also like to prescribe times a harder pace. Here are just ballads brought good and convincing to men and women, like real rock songs. This is due not only to the voice of Kim Thuy Nguyen, but also the often rather unconventional musical structure of the song. Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, etc. is not enough for Ina-I. Nevertheless, there are songs with catchy guarantee, such as "Animal" or "Ma Vie". It's really difficult to classify the whole: It's nothing now basically surprised because you would have never heard before, but in principle, nothing you would have heard in this form before anywhere else. Briefly, and little handy: It is Metalpoprock with piano. At its best. And by the way, even if it will probably scare one or two more, with throughout French texts. "Gem" is called something.
