Advantages vs.. the Harmony One:
+ Wireless connection to the hub instead of infrared - the plus point ever. The Harmony controls multiple devices, not all are in the same place here. It's just not intuitive, if you watched a movie on the TV, then the remote control to the right to keep (to 2m away standing AVR) to control the sound (coming from the speakers next to the TV). With the Ultimate one aligns the stroke once like that all equipment be achieved, and then it does not matter where you is pointing if someone just between the remote and the unit passes ... it just works. Very good!
Vs. disadvantages. the Harmony One:
- The arrangement of the keys on the remote control is ... absurd. Play and Stop are at the top, then the touch screen is (we do not need so often), including the cross to maneuver through menus. You have to come all the way down by the thumb during the regular use of the very top. This is simply not and requires constant gripping. In the Harmony One was solved much better (top touchscreen, including the other buttons.)
- Although the remote controls come from the same house, the stored profile for the hardware to be controlled appear to be different. While the Harmony One my one device here Sound IMON receiver can easily control the control with the Harmony Ultimate is virtually unusable: 75% of the commands never arrive, the other two to three times. In a now almost month-long exchange with the support it is this only now managed to create a few keys as functional test in a special Soundgraph profile to test for me. Why the continuation of the given functionality at the Harmony One in Harmony Ultimate is so complicated for the technology in Logitech, I do not understand.
Because there was some criticism, to conclude with the Note: The connection to the hub is absolutely stable with me and not once failed in the now last month with daily use.
I'll stay with the Ultimate because of the wireless solution, despite the contrary Sinningen key arrangement - and have now replaced the sound IMON receiver by a FLIRC USB receiver that works well with the Ultimate.
