This album is actually partly your own fault that it took so long until it lit me.
The "Birthright" I had in fact, when I finally roused to me to occupy myself while listening to the lyrics. Why I had to pull myself together before that?
Well, this booklet can be inexplicably not remove it from the Digibook, which makes it very inconvenient to read it. Therefore, I have this long delayed until I could bring myself yet.
I knew beforehand that the lyrics would be good; much one understands so well by hearing alone.
However, they have me as they were in front of me, along with the music in the background, captivated and completely convinced. The lyrics are clearly the centerpiece of "The Black Market". Do not misunderstand, even with the previous albums like "Appeal to Reason" they were top notch. However, they went there accompanied by the music.
This pleases me in "the black market" not quite as good, so the album gets only 4 and not 5 stars.
Even after several cycles no song I noticed that stands out from the rest - both positively and negatively. All pieces move on a similar, high level, but not "perfect". There are some good ideas, but unfortunately these are not followed up until the end. As already mentioned, the last kick me is still missing. The guitar riffs are good and catchy, but somehow seem to know without simultaneously blow the roof of the house.
While "State of the Union" and "Under The Knife" my neighbor annoying, because the boxes are turned up all the way, is "the black market" as a whole album, which although you can certainly hear loud but not trommelfellzerberstend aloud , ;)
My Favourit remains "Zero Visibility", closely followed by "Too Long Awake" and "The Great Die-Off".

Original Review:
So all I'm not going with the new album "Rise Against" still warm.
It's definitely not a bad drive, and I personally like also much better than "Endgame", which personally the weakest record of "Rise Against" is for me so far.
But something I still lack on the album, the "Prayer of the Refugee", the "drones" or the "Hero of War", which is what makes the album really well. It has not yet been made "click". Maybe I find this point so when the other runs in the next few days.
Has for me "Zero Visibility" Most potential to do so.
I reserve the right to revise the evaluation again, if my opinion would change.
PS: Actually trivial, but it bothers me very much that you can not remove the song booklet.
I lie on the sofa or on the bed like and have an eye on the lyrics while listening to the music. Unfortunately, this is only possible awkward here.
