When you hear the name frogbit as Aquariumslaie, firstly not think of any disease but to a, quite reasonable afflicted, aquarium plant.
The average aquarist (to this I consider myself quite well) knows the usual establishment procedure. Gravel, decorative, plants.
On floating plants to come up the least, and if so, then it is often the duckweed that, you have it once had, are almost impossible to get rid of.
When frogbit one has the advantage of having very attractive, undemanding floating plants, which are also growing rapidly and on the other hand to keep their size under control.
And what should I say ? The fish love this plant.
By up to 30 cm long rooting (which by the way looks very natural and decorative), there are good and Versteckt- Ablaichmöglicheiten.
With me in the pool, the roots, however, are only 10-15 cm long, which, as I have read, the supply of nutrients to be abhänig. Many nutrients = not quite as long roots.
A nice side effect of this: Superfluous nutrients and nitrate is kept under CHECKING and the algae growth thus put a stop.
The color of the plant (a succulent green) is appealing.
Unfortunately, my delivery a few duckweed had crept, but they were removed immediately in order not to have the above-mentioned problem.
Delivery took about five days, then went from shipping, however, fix and the plants were in good condition.
As a result, I am very satisfied with the "Frog bite"
