Glad Rag Doll (Deluxe Edition incl. 4 bonus tracks) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I have long been waiting for the CD. It seemed that Diana Krall had difficulty after his marriage to Costello with the Jazz.
After the first few albums in the '90s were excellent interpretations of Cole and others, which so often in my CD player ran that soon the laser coming through the surface. After flattening their game, only more riffs with breathy phrases, much strings and guitars. Girl in the other room was suspicious in parts already Andre Rieu, Quiet Nights no longer innovative.

So now the 20's and it continues towards mainstream pop and folk. Simply boring ("Wide River to Cross") or unmotivated warbled (Let it rain).

Few pieces (A Little Mixed Up) recall the stomp of the 20s, hence 2 stars

The blending of the CD is another disaster. Krall's sound engineer trespass earlier anyway in too much bass, but that is slowly no longer bearable (Lonely Avenue). All washed out.

Too bad that was probably my last Krall CD.
